📋 How to Prepare for Your Installation

To ensure a smooth, safe, and efficient visit, please follow this pre-arrival checklist:

1. Clear the Workspace

• Access: Please remove all items from your stovetop and the countertop area directly below where the microwave will be installed.

• Cabinet Access: Ensure the cabinet directly above the installation site is empty. I will need full access to this space to secure the mounting bolts and manage the power cord.

2. Check Your Unit & Hardware

• Unbox & Inspect: I recommend opening your new microwave before I arrive to ensure it is undamaged and that the mounting plate and hardware kit are included in the box.

• Compatibility: If you are installing a Built-In or Drawer model, please ensure the unit dimensions match your cabinet opening. If you’re unsure, my Pre-Order Consultation is a great way to avoid a $50 incompatibility fee.

3. Electrical & Venting Ready

• Power Source: Confirm there is a functioning, grounded electrical outlet inside the cabinet above (for OTR models) or behind the cutout (for Built-In/Drawer models).

• Venting: If you are venting your OTR microwave to the outside, please ensure the existing ductwork is clear of obstructions.

4. Arrival Logistics

• Adult Present: An adult (18 or older) with the authority to make installation decisions must be present for the entire appointment.

• Timing: If your microwave is being delivered, please do not schedule my visit for the same day to account for potential delivery delays.

• Safety Zone: For the safety of everyone, please keep pets and children clear of the kitchen while I am working with heavy appliances and tools.​
